BAJO TU CLARA SOMBRA is composed on texts by renowned Mexican author Octavio Paz. I think the writing of Paz has a lot of music in it. Not only in the literal rhythm of the text, but also in relation to the space it inhabits. It rolls out images built up from elements that are clear, but open in their directions. Together these elements describe open paths that offer multiple simultaneous directions. Much like music. The specific texts I chose come from the collection of the same name and they can translate as Your name, Monologue, The sea and finally Under your clear shadow.
